Men=masculine, women=feminine

The global media definitely has a huge influence on the way we view the world. Next to this we have capitalism. Selling products on TV or online has always been segregated by gender. Certain products are sold to women and some to men. Ads such as these seen in the above video do not only perpetuate gender stereotypes, but produce them on a daily basis. The notion that there are only two genders and that those genders are inclined to act in specific ways, lead to prejudices such as homophobia and misogyny.

  1. It really doesn't get any clearer than this. What we perceive to be the "natural" state of affairs is not natural at all. Leaving us with the question: What is natural, and is there such a thing at all?
