Admiring Superficiality

This Saturday, I was ON A BOAT, bitch! Actually, I was on a Peroni luxury yacht for one of their promo parties. It was amazing and I truley felt like a celebrity., since they beered and dined us the whole day! They were filming a reality show - Clifton Shores - on one of the yachts, starring three American girls who are working in South Africa. From our boat we could see them dancing and partying - all is of course set-up for the cameras.

One of the girls on our boat (A lipstick blogger - what is this world coming toooooooo???) was also desperate to attend this 'awesome' party boat and wanted to squeeze her way onto the boat and then, hopefully the show. It just made me think of Paris Hilton and how ridiculous these superficial people can be. I have no desire to be on a reality show, unless its Survivor! Seriously, these girls seem like they have nothing better to do with their lives than to be pretty. I mean, of course they are beautiful, but why are people admiring this kind of superficiality so much that they desperately want to be a part of it? I hate this.

Get Lippy

Without our words, our thoughts mean almost nothing. It's time to say what you feel and act. Nothing is ever accomplished by keeping quite, be it an idea you have at work, an abusive boyfriend or when choosing which TV show to watch with your friend. Get Lippy is a campaign that encourages women to SPEAK UP against abuse. I encourage not only women, but also men to stand up for women around the world.
