Meeting Judith Butler
Yesterday I experienced what it's like to listen to Judith Butler in person. She is as amazing in person, and very witty, as I imagined she would be. She spoke at the University of Stellenbosch, my alma mater. The conversation mainly focused on performativity, gender, grief and Zionism. She makes such amazing, conclusive arguments for everything she talks about. I had to run up to her after the talk and ask her to sign my Masters thesis!

Child's play
I love these, also posted as Picture Editor's Pic of the Day on today's @marieclaire_sa.
It's crazy how children are gendered already at such a young age. Boys playing with guns and girls with dolls...love the boy in the little dress at the top!
